My Background

I qualified as a graphic designer and illustrator in 2002 from Lincolnshire College of Art and Design in the UK.

As a designer I worked with a diverse range of clients including Faulds Advertising,  Bank of Scotland,  Scottish Tourist Board,  Lincolnshire Police and RAF Germany.  During time with the West Wales Trust for Nature Conservation I was responsible for producing illustrated Nature Trail booklets and wildlife conservation material in addition to promotional stands.

I then moved onto a sales and marketing career in London working for pan-European recruitment/headhunting consultancies. In 2004 I joined a product design innovation consultancy then moved onto a packaging design group. Until I decided to relocate!

It was a life project to follow my dream to live and work as an artist in Italy for five years.  My project started with the aim to create a card culture in Italy,) where I lived and worked in a druid village,  Baiardo, up in the mountains just outside San Remo.

My work showcases ‘Villages in Liguria’ from Dolceacqua to Baiardo. As a versatile artist I work in a range of mediums from oils, gouache, watercolour pencils, inks and cut paper. My style of work ranges from realistic interpretations, naïve impressionism, fine ink work from nature to very stylised graphic cut paper work.

My originals are then reproduced as cards (in two sizes A5 and A6) and limited edition prints. I undertake commissions in any style or medium depending on the client brief.
